Dr. Aditi Choudhary is an officer of the Delhi Higher Judicial Service presently posted as Registrar (Vigilance), High Court of Delhi. A graduate of the Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University she has secured her LL.B, LL.M and Ph.D from Faculty of Law, Delhi University. In her judicial career, besides presiding over courts of various jurisdictions she has worked as the Additional Director of the Delhi Judicial Academy; is a Fellow of the Commonwealth Judicial Education Institute Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; and a Mediator and Mediation Trainer with the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee of the Supreme Court of India. Before joining service she also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law, Delhi University and practised as a lawyer. She has prepared modules for the Delhi Legal Services Authority on issues like sexual violence and cyber-crimes and carried out trainings for school children in the schools in Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir. As an expert she has helped the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in developing a handbook for the judiciary which focuses on effective responses in criminal cases of violence against women and ways to ensure that women victims of violence are treated in line with relevant international standards and norms. She has been associated with the drafting of the Vulnerable Witness Guidelines and training of the Stakeholders organized by the Delhi High Court.
