Ms. Vrinda Grover is a lawyer, researcher and human rights activist based in New Delhi, India. She actively engages with the women’s rights and human rights movements. As a lawyer she specialises in constitutional and criminal law. She has appeared in landmark cases representing victims and survivors of gender based violence, sexual violence, acid attack, sexual minorities, torture victims, death row convicts, media practitioners and human rights defenders. In 2018, she was conferred an Honorary Degree by SOAS, University of London, in recognition of her contribution to the area of human rights and civil liberties. She has been associated with the Vulnerable Witness Deposition Complex programs in the Delhi High Court since 2012. She has also contributed to the framing of the Vulnerable Witness Guidelines of the Delhi High Court (2012) and Jammu & Kashmir High Court (2019). She contributed in the designing of VWDC and execution of the training program of stakeholders (including all judges, prosecutors, police officers, legal aid lawyers) in the VWDC program in Delhi from 2010.
